Information for Clients
Flexible services to meet individual needs
Our service is designed to be delivered at times when a client wants and needs it.
We recognise the importance of time well-spent with a client. That is why our minimum visit time is 30 minutes. Our visits can be much longer if required.
We always agree the length of time with each client, as part of their assessment, and this includes taking account of the client’s financial means.
We provide services during the day, evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays and can also consider requests for waking nights, sleeping in and short-term respite / live in care.
We have female homecarers available to support our client services. We are very careful in matching our homecarers to client services and take into account our clients wishes and needs when carrying out the initial assessment.

We can provide a range of help and support, such as:
Personal care - bathing, washing, getting dressed, using the toilet, taking medicines.
Practical support - light housework, shopping, making meals, collecting prescriptions, helping with post, telephone calls, paying bills.
Other support - we can offer a service to clients who have different needs, whether these are physical, learning, or mental health needs. We encourage each client to lead as full a life as possible and we can provide personal care and practical help, coupled with emotional support and companionship.
Family carer support - we can provide a service so that the usual day-to-day carers at home can have a well earned break, themselves. This includes supporting clients with dementia conditions.
Out and About support - we can provide clients with a carer to help them get out and about in the local community, to access local services including the shops, and to enjoy leisure opportunities and social events.
How do we know what you want and need?
We start by coming to meet you in person either in your own home or in hospital.
We find out what you want and need.
We ask you about your situation and how we can help.
We assess your home situation, including any risks, so that we can keep everyone safe.
If needed we can talk to someone else who knows your situation and can speak on your behalf.
What happens next?
We will tell you if we can offer a service to you and if so how much it will cost.
If you want to go ahead we will write a Plan of Care and Support, so our homecarers know what help to give and you know what you can expect to happen.
Who will come and visit?
All visits will be carried out by suitable Homecarers who will respect your personal wishes and meet your needs. If you need regular visits there will be more than one Homecarer visiting you.
When will the Homecarers come?
On the days and at the times we have agreed with you.
What written information will you get?
You will receive a Client File which will be kept in your home and will need to be accessible to our Homecarers during each visit.
